200 guests celebrate the move into a new era for Hughes Solicitors

5 Feb 2020 | Hughes Solicitors in the community

On 29 January, Hughes Solicitors hosted an ‘office warming’ party to welcome around 200 clients, colleagues and friends to our new offices and to celebrate the completion of the nine-month long refurbishment of the former bank on Heathfield High Street.

In recent years, the Hughes Solicitors team has grown to be 19-strong and in 2018 it became apparent that larger premises were needed to support the continued growth of the firm.

The renovations of the old bank on Heathfield High Street were completed just before Christmas 2019 and the team were able to move into their new offices in the period between Christmas and the New Year.

For the office warming party a marquee was erected on the car park at the back of the building and guests were treated to canapes and prosecco as they mingled and listened to speeches by the partners. They were also given tours of the premises, a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand the results of the extensive renovation.

“I work with a tremendous bunch of people and I am so pleased to have such a great team of lawyers and support staff,” says Rod, “We’re delighted to be based in Heathfield and as part of the community, we hope our investment in the new premises shows our long-term commitment to providing services in the town.”

There was some very positive feedback from the guests regarding both the party and the new office. Here is a selection of some of the comments:

“What a lovely environment you have created which I’m sure will be an absolute pleasure to work in”

“The food was excellent… great speeches and a lot of work getting the office up and running so swiftly”

“What a wonderful evening it was last night.”

“With so many familiar faces from the local area it certainly felt like being part of a big family and your local reputation speaks for itself.”

“I wish you well in your new building which is very impressive.”
