Remortgaging your home
Take advantage of low interest rates, release some equity or consolidate loans
It makes sense to check the mortgage market from time to time to ensure that you are getting the best deal from your lender. While remortgaging can help you to take advantage of lower interest rates, it can also be used to release some equity from your property or to consolidate loans.
Some lenders offer to cover the legal requirements, but this may not be free, and you are not obliged to use the lender’s solicitor. You will need your own solicitor if you are making any changes to the ownership of the property, such as by adding or removing someone from the mortgage at the same time.
Our residential property lawyers in Heathfield, East Sussex, can undertake the conveyancing process for you efficiently and promptly. We will advise you on any risks and will liaise with your lenders in regard to carrying out relevant searches and valuations, and we will register the new mortgage against your property.
We are able to act for many of the main mortgage lenders, and we are accredited members of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), which provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing departments.
