Supporting elderly or vulnerable clients
We are able to help clients who feel they may need assistance with the management of their finances and legal affairs. For many of our clients we are trusted friends – having acted for them in many cases for up to 20 years or longer.
We work closely with our clients and their families to ascertain their needs and develop a tailored strategy to each individual.
Property ownership and management may be a particular concern and we provide specialist advice to clients where they are considering buying a house or a share of a house with other family members, or where they may be considering how care costs might affect them in the future.
In regard to care arrangements, we can:
- help with Social Service assessments; and
- liaising with care providers to ensure care needs are properly met.
We also deal with day-to-day financial management, including:
- working with our clients’ accountants, tax or investment advisors; and
- preparation of tax returns.
We can also provide information and reassurance to children and other family members who live abroad or a long distance away.
