This is an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive looking to work in a fully supported team, whose service ethic is to listen, understand and advise. You will be joining a small and friendly firm of solicitors based in Heathfield, East Sussex, who since 2009, have looked after clients who live and work in Heathfield and the surrounding villages.
Our private client team consists of 4 lawyers who act for a broad range of clients. We focus on team output and our supportive flexible work environment will enable you to thrive and build upon your experience within this modern and dynamic practice.
We are looking for a self-motivated lawyer with more than 2 years PQE of private client work to take up this opportunity. Whilst this role is offered as a full time role, we are willing to offer different working patterns.

Hours: Full time or part time / flexible
Main responsibilities include:
- conducting of a wide range of private client fee earning work including wills, lasting powers of attorney, administration of estates and trusts.
- dealing personally with clients and other relevant organisations.
- performing fee earning work according to the Lexcel Practice Management Standard.
- supporting other colleagues and delegate appropriate work.
- participating in marketing activities and pursue opportunities for cross-referral of work within the firm.
Skills & experience:
Candidates should have:
- a qualification as a solicitor, FCilex or equivalent.
- a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working in private client.
- a proven ability to be efficient and well organised, with attention to detail.
- well developed communication skills.
- the ability to be flexible and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- the ability to prioritise a heavy workload within tight time constraints under pressure.
- good IT skills.
