We are delighted to announce that Erin Denness has joined the team in Heathfield as a partner and head of our residential property department.
Erin is a senior solicitor with over 15 years of experience in handling all types of residential property matters both for individuals and corporate clients. She joins Hughes Solicitors from a highly regarded Tunbridge Wells law firm, bringing her expertise on the property market in the South East.
Throughout her career, she has dealt with a wide range of sales and purchases, from penthouse apartments to large country houses. She also has experience of the sale and purchase of listed buildings.
Her key areas of practice include:
- acquisition of freehold for tenants;
- deeds of variation;
- equity release mortgages;
- freehold and leasehold sales and purchases;
- lease extensions;
- remortgaging properties;
- rights of way and easements;
- transfers of equity; and
- transfers of property.

Erin is local to Heathfield and is actively involved with the Heathfield Agricultural Show. Away from the office, she works on her small family farm near Heathfield, tending to a flock of around 50 pedigree Ryeland sheep and non-pedigree mixed breed sheep.
