Hughes Solicitors is pleased to announce the legal team in Heathfield is growing with the addition of James Woods, an experienced solicitor.
James has been a solicitor for 11 years and brings a wide range of private client law experience to the firm. He previously worked at reputable law firms throughout Kent, offering an expert bespoke service to his clients.
During his career, James has developed specialist knowledge in contentious probate work. In one notable case, he applied for a Grant of Probate based on an unsigned copy will. It was accepted by the Court, showing his tenacity and skill in tricky probate cases. He is also skilled in dealing with the Court of Protection and recently made a successful application to retire an elderly deputy and appoint a new deputy in their place.
James can assist clients with:
- creating a lasting power of attorney;
- deeds of variation;
- drawing up a will;
- estate administration;
- inheritance tax planning; and
- setting up and administering trusts.
